This feature is designed for user convenience.
But for some users, it can be annoying especially when the laptop screen is small.
In Windows 10, open up theStart Menuand click theSettingsicon.
From there, clickSystemand navigate to theMultitaskingtab on the left-hand menu.
By checking this box, the auto-resizing of the windows will cease when dragged to either of the edges.
This can be achieved by running the following commands onCommand Prompt.
To open theCommand Prompt,press theWindows Keysimultaneously withR, and then typecmdand press enter.
