We all know very well that technology can change the world.
This is a truth that has several implicit meanings, as the technology itself can be pirated.
Hence, recently the DEF CON hackers broke into U.S. Voting Machines in just 90 minutes.

DEF CON Hackers Broke Into U.S. Voting Machines In Just 90 Minutes
Technology can change the world.
At the 1st ever Voting Village at#DEFCON, attendees tinker w/ election systems to find vulnerabilities.
Next, a machine was hacked by Wi-Fi.

Undoubtedly, our voting systems are weak and susceptible.
Said Jake Braun, who sold the founder DEF CON Jeff Moss the idea earlier this year.
Some were running very outdated and exploitable software with uncorrected versions of OpenSSL, Windows XP, and CE.

Of course, the officials who validate and follow the electoral process would detect and stop the attack.
Apparently, some of the boxes included poorly secured Wi-Fi connection.
Another system can potentially be attacked remotely via OpenSSL by taking advantage of bug CVE-2011-4109.

And not all the attacked equipment is used in the current elections, there are several models already discontinued.
The “security” of these WINvote machines is so bad.
Those responsible for this test want the results to be seen as a wake-up call.
So, what do you think about this vulnerability?
