The LTS channel has a 3-year support cycle.
To begin, .NET 6.0.6 is compatible with Visual Studio 17.2 and later.
Performing the upgrade process from .NET 3.1 and .NET 5 is pretty straightforward.
These provide the foundational mobile and desktop pieces for the new .NET MAUI.
The installation will now begin.
