Facebook recently announced about its new feature which the company implemented to its Messenger app.
With the help of newly launched feature users can send and receive SMS messages directly within the Messenger app.
So users dont need to switch in between the default SMS app and messenger app.

The feature was first seen on the users of Messenger beta version.
However, due to increase in demand of SMS this year, Facebook decided to bring it back.
Facebook, wrote in a blog post.

To use this feature you just need to opt for tabSMSand have toenabletheDefault Sms Appoption.
Once you enabled this your SMS conversations will be shown in purple just behind the Facebook conversations.
It also allows you to send stickers, emojis, and location sharing too.

Currently, the feature is only available on Android.
