Previously, Windows 7 and Windows 8 included the option to activate the guest account with convenience.
However, those options were later removed inWindows 10and11.
Guest accounts have lower privileges than even the standard user accounts.
This is for the safety of the computer.
This way, they will feel important, but none of them can harm your shared PC.
All you better do is enable it, and it becomes operational.
However, these steps are not enough to use the built-in Guest account locally on the computer.
Select theGuestaccount and clickRemove.Allow Guest account to log on locally
ClickApplyandOk.
Remember to name the additional Guest accounts differently so that there isnt a conflict.
The following methods work for both Windows 10 and 11.
This default account should continue to prohibit access to other users files.
Return to the Other users page, hit the user account to remove to expand it, and clickRemove.
Both of thesemanagement consolesperform the same functions for the user accounts.
Right-clickUsersand click New user.Create a new user
Enter the Guest accounts name and leave the password fields blank.
Uncheck User must change password at next login.
Check Password never expires and clickCreate.Create a Guest user account from management console
Close theNew userwizard.
When asked for confirmation, clickYes.

Press theWindows Keys + Rto kick off the Run Command box.
punch in in cmd and pressCTRL + Shift + Enterto run anelevated Command Prompt.

Open anelevated PowerShell instance.
The Guest account will now be created.
Now, perform the following steps to manage the accounts permissions.
Note:The account isnotautomatically added to the Users group.
Therefore, it does not need to be removed explicitly.
Open either the Computer Management console (compmgmt.msc) or the Local Users and Groups (lusrmgr.msc).
This will convert the Guests group name into its full name.
Back on thePropertieswindow, clickApplyandOk.
you might enable it from the Local Users and Groups management console, or the Computer Management console.
Additionally, you’re able to also create your Guest accounts if required.
