Windows 10 Home has some restrictions as compared to Pro and Enterprise versions.

What is gpedit.msc?
Group Policies are applied on a computer or user by changing the Windows Registry values.

You canvisit gpsearchto browse Windows Registry key values against each group policy.
Gpedit.msc is usually located inC:\Windows\System32in all Windows versions.
Instead, we can initiate the group policy editor in Windows 10 Home using the methods described below.

Open Command Prompt in administrative mode.
fire off the following commands one after the other:
These commands will install gpedit.msc console on your system.
BitLocker Drive Encryption:BitLocker is not available on Windows 10 Home.

It will not be installed along side gpedit.msc and parameters related to BitLocker will not work.
Some configs can be enabled from the editor but it will not have any effect on the system configs.
Right-poke the downloaded gpedit-enabler.bat file and click Run as administrator from the context menu.

This will start the installation process.
It may take some time depending on your system performance.
Once the process is complete, press any key to kill the Command Prompt.

(Optional)Restart the computer.
launch the Setup.exe file.launch the setup file
The installation wizard will now launch.
wrap up the .NET installer when completed.

Click Finish on the Group Policy editor installer.
The Group Policy editor will now be installed on your PC.
However, you probably wont be able to run it from the Run Command box.
To do that, perform the remaining steps below.
Note:The remaining steps below only need to be performed if you are using a 64-bit Windows OS.
You should find gpedit.msc in the C:\Windows\System32 folder and it should be owned byTrustedInstaller.
Policy Plus is a third-party app and an alternative to the built-in Group Policy editor.
The interface is very similar to GPEdit.
Download Policy Plus from this link:

Run Policy-Plus.exe.
It is a portable app so it will open immediately.
