Switching Away From Outlook or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Gmail

I have active Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook accounts as well as three IMAP accounts from my start-ups. I used Outlook (desktop client) to manage all these inboxes. The problem was that spam became uncontrollable, specifically for my three IMAP accounts and for Yahoo. I always thought Gmail was amazing at beating spam. I can then continue to use Outlook to manage this filtered mail. Here’s what I did: Imported all the accounts into gmail....

Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 & GeForce GTX 970 Review

With 63.1fps it was 29% faster than the R9 290X. The GeForce GTX 970 also performed well, matching the old Titan and outperforming all Radeons in our test.

Intel Z97 Motherboard Roundup: Asus, Asrock, EVGA, MSI & Gigabyte

This makes the Z97 Extreme9 the best motherboard in our roundup for supporting three or four graphics cards. In fact none of the other Z97 motherboards we have even feature four PCIe x16 slots. The Z97 Extreme9 isn’t the cheapest Z97 motherboard to support 4-Way CrossFireX and 4-Way SLI, however. Getting back to the Asrock Z97 Extreme9, we have much more to talk about than 4-way multi-GPU support. The fourth port connected to the ASM1061 controller is shared with the eSATA port on the I/O panel....

The Sims 4 Review

The Sims 4is a big game. Actually playing the game feels like you’re both telling and watching a series of private, intimate stories. Let me start with one of those stories, about a man named Fred Bob. Fred woke up early one morning this week. He got out of bed without disturbing Autumn, and started to make her a special breakfast. Everything was peaceful, except for the toilet, which was gushing water all over the bathroom floor....

Metro: Redux Benchmarked: Graphics & CPU Performance

Overclocking the Core i7-4770K helped gain a few extra frames per second but certainly nothing game changing. The AMD FX-8350 benefited slightly more from being overclocked, but again the gains weren’t substantial.

Intel Core i7-5960X Haswell-E Review: A True 8-core Desktop CPU

This placed it on par with the Core i7-4790K and Core i5-4670K. In fact here the mighty 5960X is no better than a low-end Core i3 processor. Hitman Absolution is the first game to really show the Core i7-5960X at an advantage. With 80fps at 1680x1050 it was 7% faster than the 4790K and 10% faster than the 4960X. As a result the 5960X was faster than the 4960X, but slower than the 4670K and 4790K....
