Recently, we have seen Apple cut Tim cooks salary by 15% because of not meeting the targets.
Bob Burrough worked both under Steve Jobs and Tim Cook.
At Apple in 2007, organizationally it was the wild west, Burrough said.
Thats because the organization wasnt the priority, the projects were the priority.
It was the exact opposite of not my job.
But it was also very rewarding because everything you did had maximal impact on the product.
When you went to someone for help solving a problem not my job was a common response.
But, Steve Ballmer managed to triple Microsoft sales when he took over from Bill Gates.
