It is official:Windows 11 24H2, orWindows 11 Version 2024will be coming later this year.
This announcement comes after Microsoft confirmed that the new version is already in development through theWindows Insider Program.
That said, Microsoft has not mentioned an exact date of release for the operating system.
In the past, Microsoft adapted the bi-annual feature update cadence for the Windows operating system.
All previous annual updates have been released in the second half of the year.
This section will be updated as soon as Microsoft makes the ISO available.
However, that does not mean that you cannot get your hands on Windows 11 24H2.
But even before that, yourMicrosoft account should be registered for the Windows Insider Program.
Then click Windows Insider Program.
Next, select either theDev channelor theCanary channel, and clickContinue.Select an insider channel
ClickContinuetwice to confirm.
Now scroll down and select Windows 11 Insider Preview (Canary Channel) Build 26058, and then clickConfirm.
Note:The build number for the ISO may have changed when you are downloading it.
Now click 64-bit Download.Download Windows 11 24H2 ISO image
The ISO image file should now begin downloading.
Microsoft still has not released an official ISO image file for Windows 11 24H2.
However, you’ve got the option to still download it using a third-party website known asUUP-Dump.
A small ZIP file will now be downloaded.
Right-punch the ZIP file and click Extract all.
In the extraction wizard, clickExtract.
Go to the extracted folder, right-nudge the uup_download_windows file, and then click Run as administrator.
[Conditional] If prompted with a UAC, clickYes.
A Command Prompt window will now open.
When asked for permission to run a script, enter R forRun once.
UUP dump will now begin downloading and creating the ISO file for Windows 11 24H2.
Enter O when prompted to end the window.
The ISO file will now be created inside the extracted folder.
Improved snap layouts
Microsoft is adding more functionality to Snap Layouts for Windows.
Additionally, PNG files will allow metadata editing and reading with Windows 11 24H2.
Additionally, a new tweaks page specifically for mobile devices will be included in version 24H2.
Here is how:
On the target PC,download the PC Health Check app.
spin up the downloaded Windows PC Health Check Setup file.
Agree to the licensing terms and clickInstall.roll out the PC Health Check app
The app will now install.
Here are other methods tocheck if your rig meets minimum Windows 11 requirements.

Plug in a USB flash drive (at least 8GB) to your box.
Download Rufus from itswebsiteand install it on your machine.
If prompted with another confirmation, clickOK.
Your Windows 11 bootable USB drive will now be in the making.
This step may take a few minutes to complete.
Once it is finished, Ready will be displayed with a green bar.
Here is how:
Plug in the bootable Windows 11 24H2 USB flash drive in the target computer.
grab the external USB drive to boot from the bootable USB.
You will now see a menu such as the one below.
This step may take a few minutes and your equipment may reboot a few times.
On the final screen, clickInstall.
Windows 11 24H2 installation will begin after performing the steps above.
